Job Summary
This analyst will perform data mapping duties for IRR download and deletion-related activities, working in partnership with Technical System Owners.Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Connect to various database management system types and query/profile data within them
- Partner with the Business and Internal Stakeholders to support the Privacy Remediation Journey
- Identification of Personal Information (PI) across various platforms
- Assists in data impact analysis and data quality initiatives
- Assists with end user Data Questions
- Tracking status and activities via JIRA
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Necessary Skills:
- Over all 5 to 8 years of experience with 2-5 years of experience within Data Governance and/or Data Management disciplines
- Strong SQL experience required
- Exposure in any of the following a plus: MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Hortonworks, Hadoop, Informatica, Tableau, AWS, QueryFabric, PostgreSQL
- Ability to query and manipulate data in varying file formats including Teradata, Hadoop and other databases
- Ability to profile data, identify upstream and downstream impacts
- Ability to work effectively across a matrixed environment and influence without formal authority
- Good verbal and written communication skills with both business and technical teams
- Good documentation skills
- Knowledge of data structures, systems and BI tools related to data management
- Ability to coordinate and conduct meetings with system owners to help answer questions regarding their data
- Analytical with strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to evaluate Comcast data systems against established governance policies
- Ability to anticipate situations, tools needed, and potential obstacles through critical thinking and review of business performance
Ability to gather process information and make recommendations and decisions based on data and findings
