Manager, Enterprise Reporting
Job Summary
Responsible for drawing conclusions, providing consumer insight and making recommendations based on strategic understanding of the data collected through analysis of reports and dashboards. Advises business groups by providing technical and strategic reports and analytics that identify and address current business gaps, issues, and opportunities. May manage team including exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. Assists in development and meeting of departmental budget.Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Creates dashboards and reports based on the needs of end users.
- Incorporates end user requests and requirements to develop an enterprise reporting solution.
- Requires advanced knowledge of SQL programming, reporting platforms / tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.), and workflow and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau Prep).
- Mayassistin training users on reporting tools.
- Supports the user community in the use of business intelligence tools to query tables and databases for self-service analytics.
- Optimizesqueries and reports to improve performance, making changes as needed.
- Participates in the design and development of the system, as well as creation of user documentation.
- Leads initiatives to design and build reporting tools, information dashboards, data generators, and other end-user information portals or resources.
- Lead discussions with business leaders and stakeholders to understand data and analysis needs and develop technical requirements.
- Advise onthe relevancy of data andidentifiesalternative data sources as needed to ensure analytics requested by business stakeholders can be completed.
- Oversee analyzation of large, complex data todetermineactionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools.
- Review and communicate findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Company executives and decisionmakers.
- Plans,managesand controls the activities of a team that provides technology-based data reporting tools and management for business segments or the company at large.
- Bringsexpertiseoridentifiessubject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts toidentify, interpret and produce recommendations based on company reporting and data needs.
- Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision.
- Selects,developsand evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function.
- This is a technical role focused on leading technical teams responsible for building technical tools and structures based on established specifications.
- Keeps abreast of strategies, trends, initiatives, and best practices within the Company and competitive landscape.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular,consistentand punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
