We believe that every household in America should have Internet access. To help achieve this goal, we developed Internet Essentials, the largest and most comprehensive program of its kind in the country. Through this initiative, we provide families in need with high-speed, low-cost Internet service along with the option to purchase a computer for under $150. We also offer multiple opportunities for digital literacy training in print, online, and in person.
Comcast Cares Day
To celebrate our year-round commitment to service, we host Comcast Cares Day, the nation's largest single-day corporate volunteer event. Each year, about 100,000 of our employees, friends, family members, and community partners come together to volunteer around the world. Together, we're improving schools, parks, beaches, senior centers, and more for a better tomorrow.
Employee Giving Campaign
Each year, our employees rally around local communities by pledging millions of dollars through our Employee Giving Campaign in support of United Way. United Way was chosen by Comcast Founder Ralph Roberts as our first community partner soon after our company's founding in 1963. Comcast partners with United Way to bring visibility to the organization's mission, raise funds to address issues specific to local Comcast communities, and motivate employees to volunteer.
Comcast Leaders and Achievers® Scholarship Program
We award college scholarships to high school seniors identified as the best and brightest by their principals and guidance counselors. Not only do these students excel in the classroom, they also make a positive impact on their communities. And our support helps them achieve their academic goals so they can go on to become successful leaders in the workforce.
